How we handle information collected through this website.

This policy explains what Davidson, Doyle & Hilton, LLP collects through ddhcpa.com, why, and who else sees it. It covers this website only. Information you give us as a client during a tax, audit, accounting, or advisory engagement is governed by our engagement letter and by the confidentiality rules that apply to certified public accountants, not by this page.
Information you provide
Two forms on this site send information to us. Both are optional; you can always reach us by phone or in person instead.
- Contact form (/contact/): your name, email address, phone number, and message.
- Employee benefit plan audit quote request (/401k-403b-audit/): your name, email address, phone number, and company, plus details about the plan you are asking us to quote. That means plan type, number of participants, trustee or custodian, and whether the plan is self directed, allows participant loans, holds publicly traded employer stock, or has been audited before.
We also record the IP address and browser user agent of the device that submits a form. This is a security measure: it lets us identify and block automated abuse of the form.
Information collected automatically
We advertise on Google, so this site carries the Google tag. It does three things: it records when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to submit a form, so we can tell which ads are working; it sends page activity to Google Analytics; and it can add your device to an advertising audience, so Google may show you our ads on other sites you visit later.
This means Google receives information about your visit and handles it as a separate company under its own privacy policy, and it is why this site sets the cookies listed below.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site does not use any cookie that is required for it to function; every one below comes from the Google tag described above.

Our contact forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes people from bots. It may place a short lived token in your browser for that check. Turnstile is designed not to track you across sites.
How we use information
- To answer your question, prepare a quote, or return your call.
- To protect the forms from spam and automated abuse.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To measure and target our advertising, including showing our ads to people who have visited this site.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing information with Google for advertising can qualify as a "sale" or "share" under some state privacy laws even without payment, so we describe it plainly here and tell you how to opt out below.
Who we share it with
We do not share information from this site with anyone except the service providers that operate it:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, serves it, protects the forms, and stores the form log.
- Postmark delivers form submissions to our inboxes as email.
- Brightcave, our website vendor, receives a copy of form submissions so it can confirm the forms are working.
- Google receives the advertising and analytics information described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the firm, our clients, or others.
The "Pay my invoice" link on our Client Center page takes you to CPACharge, a separate payment company. We never see or store your card details. Once you leave this site, CPACharge's own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
Form submissions arrive as email in our inboxes and are retained under the firm's ordinary records practices. A copy is also written to a website log that acts as a backstop in case an email fails to deliver.
Your choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.
- Google ad personalization. You can turn off personalized advertising at My Ad Center.
- Google Analytics. Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Industry opt outs. The Digital Advertising Alliance maintains a single opt out for participating advertisers at optout.aboutads.info.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google treats it as an opt out of ad personalization for this site.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
Children
This site is intended for adults seeking accounting services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents through the website forms or by ordinary email. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
